ViewsBio-DilithiumFrom Star Trek Game Information[edit] Star Trek: Armada IIBio-Dilithium is a crystalline substance used in Trans-warp propulsion systems aboard starships, and is mined from Warp Rifts. Bio-Dilithium regulates the matter/anti-matter reactions that provide the energy necessary to Transwarp space and travel faster than warp. The size and maximum speed of a ship typically reflects the amount of Bio-dilithium required for its development - larger starships require increased quantities of this resource. A unique breakdown of dilithium employed solely by the Borg yields bio-dilithium, the only resource they need for transwarp. When an order to build a unit is given, the Bio-dilithium required for that object is taken from your Bio-dilithium account. Cancelling construction of a unit replaces the Bio-dilithium for that unit back into your account. Decommissioning a ship reMany freighters can mine a rift at one time, although many can be mining a rift while another is returning its load to a nexis. All rifts contain an infinite supply of bio-dilithium. These rifts have a noticeably, and their quantity will not alter as they are mined for resources. Note: Species 8472 have no use for bio-dilithium, and this resources will not appear on the screen when playing Species 8472, but it can be converted to bio-matter which Species 8472 uses for embryo evolution
