The Federation battles the Borg for control. Join players from around the world and control a Starfleet or Romulan ship in this Massively Multiplayer Online Game.

Features:

• Explore a world consisting of 1 million background tiles (16x16 pixels each).
• Travel between planets, communicate with other players, fight together with others and rise through the ranks within your faction.

[edit] Ship

Each player's ship consists of five interchangeable parts. Players start out with a small standard ship based on their choice of faction and can upgrade as the game progresses.

Additional weapons, shields, scanners and other items can also be found and/or traded throughout the game. The appearance and performance of a ship depends on which parts it is constructed from.

The game has three basic screens; the first is the "normal" view where players see their ship (2D in top-down perspective) as well as other ships, the world, items that can be picked up etc. Most of the game experience takes place in this screen.

The second screen displays "inventory" where ship parts are switched, weapons or shields are changed and items no longer needed are dropped. The inventory shows a bigger picture of a player's ship representing current configuration.

The last screen is the "communications" screen. All messages from other players and server-generated game information is displayed here. This is also where players type their own messages.

The basic game interaction method is moving a context sensitive cursor around. Players can use it to move their ship, attack others, communicate or get information about other players.

In addition to the Federation and Borg forces, a number of AI ships from other empires, including the Romulans, are present in the game world.

The game website features a discussion forum and different high score tables, accessed over the Internet.
