[edit] Game Features

Prepare to squeeze into the captains chair and tighten your asteroid belt as you assume the role of Jean-Luc Picard and take control of the bridge of the Enterprise. Get ready to save Earth from the most lethal threat it has ever faced.

Schizon, the leader of a dangerous Romulan faction, has control of a terrifying weapon with which he plans to destroy all life on Earth. You're in the Bassen Rift in command of the next generation crew in a pulse-pounding race to defeat Shizon. Fighting through a fleet of Romulan ships, you must locate his mammoth flagship, the Scimitar, and engage it in a battle to the death. There are five levels of enemies to destroy before the Enterprise reaches the Scimitar. With each hit the strength of your shields will fall and once they have been knocked out, your ship will be destroyed. With a limited number of torpedoes that can't home in on cloaked targets, you're in for a testing time as both Romulan Warbirds and the Scimitar are fitted with cloaking devices.

The Scimitar can fire while cloaked and is a powerful and elusive enemy. The only clue you get to its location is when it fires disrupter blasts. Your first job is to take out its cloaking device with several direct hits. Once the cloaking device is down you can take out its shields before delivering the killer blow. Only a selected few in the galaxy have captained the Enterprise and unless you win the final battle, it will stay that way!

[edit] General Tips

You must fight your way through 4 sectors of Romulan ships, and then destroy Shinzon's flagship, in order to save Earth. You are equipped with phasers, photon torpedoes, and a small number of Quantum Torpedoes.

  • Target and destroy as many Romulan ships as you can.
  • Make sure the ship is at the center of your crosshairs before firing.
  • Shoot them as soon as you see them - the further away the ships are when you destroy them, the more points you score!
  • Don't forget, you can use the Tractor Beam to fix on enemy ships.
  • The Romulans will retaliate with disruptor beams and torpedoes, but remember you can target and destroy incoming torpedoes!
  • Keep an eye on your shields - if shield energy drops to zero, the Enterprise will be destroyed.
  • You can divert warp power from the weapons system to the shields, but remember, your weapons won't be replenished while you do so!
  • Emergency warp is available when power drops to dangerously low levels. You can warp to a nearby Star Base, where energy and weapons supplies will be replenished. But you will only have one chance to do this per sector.
