The Galaxy-X Class is a new class of dediacted warship developed at the Utopia Planitia shipyards. Based on the successful Galaxy Class, its revolutionary tri-nacelle design provides exceptional speed and power. Its hull is optimized for battle, with numerous phaser arrays and photon torpedo tubes. Its defense systems allow it to shrug off damage that would destroy and lighter vessel.

The improvement to Utopia Plantitia's Galaxy-X Class vessel is one of the largest warships in the Federation. Its improved tri-nacelle war drive gives it speed comparable to that of lighter vessels, and it carries more and stronger weapons than the older design.
