Company Information
On the 7th September 2004 Perpetual Entertainment announced (Press Release) that they had secured the exclusive worldwide rights from Viacom Consumer Products to develop and publish a massively multiplayer online game based on the Star Trek franchise.
As well as Star Trek: Online Perpetual Entertainment are also creating Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising using the same game engine. Gods and Heroes: Rome Rising will be released in 2006.
Background
Perpetual Entertainment is a San Francisco based developer, publisher, and operator of networked multi-player and massively multi-player games for the PC and next-generation videogame consoles. Perpetual Entertainment was founded and is staffed by industry veterans dedicated to the vision that playing games together is simply more fun, more challenging, and more rewarding than playing alone.
Perpetual Studios is currently developing two AAA online games and is actively seeking partnerships with superior 3rd party developers to bring other great games online.
Perpetual is developing the Perpetual Entertainment Platform, a complete solution for developing, hosting, monitoring, and operating any networked online game playable on a wide variety of consumer game device, (PCs, videogame consoles, cell phones, and hand-held computers).
Perpetual is developing the Perpetual Game Engine and a suite of reusable game tools and libraries for high-quality and stable development of networked games of all genres.
